Shelby D. Riney is an associate attorney at Markovich Grover. After graduating from Washington University in St. Louis, Shelby earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Houston Law Center. During law school, Shelby was president of the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund, as well as a member of the Energy and Environmental Law Society and the Hispanic Bar Association of Houston. She also served as associate editor of The Houston Journal of International Law, a student-edited publication of the University of Houston Law Center.

At Markovich Grover, Shelby's practice focuses on claims that fall under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act,  the Defense Base Act, and the War Hazards Compensation Act.

Shelby is licensed to practice law in Texas.
