Missy Basone

CFO & Firm Administrator   

Missy Basone serves as the chief financial officer and firm administrator at Markovich Grover. Her expertise in overseeing finance, human resources, and strategy is integral to the company's success. Previously, Missy was the CFO at Set Solutions, guiding it through a significant market transition with Third Century Partners and Black Lake Capital, which culminated in a successful sale to Trace3 in early 2023. Her extensive experience in accounting, finance, and IT was honed at BDO North America, and through managing her own businesses.

Missy has worked successfully in national and international companies across several industries, including cyber, oil and gas, private equity, and legal. She worked as the U.S. Finance and Administrative Manager at Addax Petroleum U.S. Services Corporation, a $5 billion Exploration & Production arm under the international Sinopec Group. She was vice president of ZT Accounting and Corporate Budgeting at the private equity firm ZT Wealth.  Missy is adept at growing businesses; she enjoys helping them flourish and mature into market titans.

Missy is known for her ability to view business challenges from multiple perspectives, combining creativity, drive, and leadership to enable pivotal company growth. She advocates for driving company value and empowering sales teams through agile, well-coordinated sales processes.

Active in community engagement, Missy is a member of the Greater Houston Executive Women’s Partnership, has served on the Altus Foundation Board, is a member of her community board, and supports various charities. She holds a bachelor's degree in accounting with a minor in international business from the University of Houston Downtown. Missy, an artist in her free time, enjoys painting and sculpting.
