Missy Basone

CFO & Firm Administrator 

Missy Basone has joined Markovich Grover PLLC as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Firm Administrator, bringing with her 15 plus years of expertise in a diverse array of industries. Her experience in overseeing finance, human resources, IT, and strategy will be integral to transitioning the firm from its early, rapidly growing startup phase to mid-size. 

Missy was previously CFO at Set Solutions (a Trace3 Company), where she guided it through a significant market transition with Third Century Partners and Black Lake Capital, which culminated in a successful exit in early 2023 (sold for 10x EBITDA). She honed her accounting, finance, and IT skills at BDO North America.

Paramount to her past tenures is Missy’s natural ability to view challenges from multiple perspectives, combining creativity, drive, and leadership to enable pivotal growth. This is especially the case when she finds herself in a delicate balancing act between the interests of management and employees. She is a big proponent of efficiency and creates value by reducing friction in work processes.

Missy holds a bachelor's degree in accounting with a minor in international business from the University of Houston-Downtown. When not working, she remains active via her membership to the Greater Houston Executive Women’s Partnership and local community board, and her support of various charities. She is also an artist, and enjoys the painting and sculpting mediums. Her family and pets divide their time between Houston and New York City.
