Rebecca Ondrasek is a partner at Markovich Grover. Before shifting her practice to insurance defense, her career began as a trial lawyer representing plaintiffs in complex personal injury cases. Rebecca has applied this experience to now representing employers and carriers in claims stemming from the Defense Base Act, an extension of the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act. Rebecca has served as lead and supporting counsel in numerous jury and bench trials.

Rebecca graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and  minor in Geography. Rebecca earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law, where she was a member of the Board of Advocates and active on the Mock Trial Team. Rebecca was a finalist at the Closing Argument Competition at Harvard Law School during her last year of law school while acting as President of the Animal Law Society, Vice President of the Environmental Law Society, and Associate Editor for the Texas Business Law Journal.

Rebecca was voted ‘Top Lawyer’ by H Texas Magazine in 2019 and ‘Ones to Watch in 2021’ by Best Lawyers. She was also recognized as a “Texas Rising Star” in 2022, 2023 2024, and 2025, and by Super Lawyers in 2025. In her spare time, Rebecca volunteers for Texas Humane Legislation Network and Houston Arboretum & Nature Center.

Rebecca is admitted to practice in Texas and the U.S District Court for the Southern District of Texas. 

Rebecca was recognized as a Texas Rising Star in 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025, and by Super Lawyers in 2025.
