Partner
Matthew, a partner at Markovich Grover, concentrates his practice on matters involving the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act and the Defense Base Act (DBA). He also brings significant experience in insurance defense, complex commercial litigation, premises liability, and personal injury claims.
Soon after graduating from the University of Miami School of Law, Matthew joined Markovich Grover’s Founders at their legacy firm, and he has been litigating DBA and Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act claims alongside them ever since. He has defended claims from beginning to resolution, achieving low settlements for his clients and serving as lead attorney at countless trials before the Office of Administrative Law Judges. Matthew recognizes the critical importance of early and accurate case evaluation, and the need for regular communication with clients.
Prior to law school, Matthew attended Florida State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Sport Management. As an undergraduate, he interned with a local firm, where he gained his first exposure to legal practice. Matthew was listed in Best Lawyers “Ones to Watch” in 2023 and 2024.
Matthew is a member of the Florida Bar and the District of Columbia Bar, as well as the U.S. District Courts for both the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida.
