Joann Li is an associate attorney at Markovich Grover. Her practice focuses on defending employers and insurance carriers in claims arising under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act and Defense Base Act.

Joann received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Houston Law Center. During law school, Joann served as the Executive Vice President of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association, completed 40 hours of formal mediation training through the Mediation Clinic, and served as both a Statutory Interpretation tutor and research assistant. Prior to law school, she graduated magna cum laude from Syracuse University with dual degrees in Information Management & Technology and Broadcast Journalism.

Joann is licensed to practice law in Texas and is fluent in Mandarin.
