Emily Welch is a senior associate at Markovich Grover. Emily’s practice is focused on claims arising under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act and Defense Base Act.
Emily earned her bachelor's degree from the University of South Carolina, where she was an active member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority. She went on to receive her Doctor of Jurisprudence, cum laude, from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. During her time at Loyola, Emily contributed to the Loyola Maritime Law Journal and participated in Moot Court. She also served as both an oralist and coach for the American Bar Association National Team. While in law school, Emily completed an externship with the Honorable James T. Genovese of the Louisiana Supreme Court.
Following law school, Emily clerked for the Honorable Judge Angela F. Donaldson at the Department of Labor Office of Administrative Law Judges, where she gained valuable experience with claims arising under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act and the Defense Base Act.
Emily is licensed to practice law in Florida.
