Andrea Mendoza Diaz

Andrea Mendoza Diaz is an associate attorney at Markovich Grover. She earned her Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in International Relations with a minor in Political Science from Florida International University. During college, Andrea prepared a research study on "Gender-based Violence in the Eastern Caribbean" under theBelem Do Para Convention, presenting her findings to the U.S. Department of State Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement, to inform policy discussions and strengthen regional strategies for addressing gender-based violence. During her final year, Andrea studied abroad in Southeast Asia, where she taught English to college-level students through the Khmer Education Foundation in Siem Reap, Cambodia.

Andrea earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she served as Co-President of the Minority Law Student Association, overseeing all affinity groups of the student body. She further served as a mentor to other law students through the Latin American Law Student Association and became a recipient of the 2025 Cardozo BALLSA Alumni Award in recognition of her significant contributions to the diverse student associations at Cardozo.

Andrea brings broad legal experience from her work across multiple law firms and non-profit organizations, including employment law, entertainment law, intellectual property law, and compliance. At Markovich Grover, her practice is focused on defending claims arising under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act, the Defense Base Act, and the War Hazards Compensation Act.

Andrea is licensed to practice law in New York. Andrea is proficient in Spanish.
