Alia Sheppard-Wilson

Senior Associate

Alia Sheppard-Wilson is a senior associate attorney at Markovich Grover, where she applies her diverse litigation experience to effectively advocate for clients. A graduate at the top of her class from both the University of Houston and South Texas College of Law Houston, she earned five CALI Awards for academic excellence.

While in law school, Alia served as a judicial intern to Magistrate Judge Andrew M. Edison in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas (Galveston Division), gaining hands-on exposure to federal practice and complex legal matters, including maritime disputes.

Her career reflects a well-rounded perspective, with experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants. Before joining the founders at their legacy firm, Alia litigated personal injury cases on behalf of plaintiffs. She now defends employers and carriers under the Defense Base Act, with substantial trial experience through formal hearings before the Department of Labor’s Office of Administrative Law Judges.

Alia is licensed to practice law in Texas.
