Alexandra (Sasha) Grover

Vice President, Director & Senior Partner    

Alexandra (Sasha) Grover is a senior partner at Markovich Grover, where she oversees a diverse inventory of claims arising under the Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act and its extension statutes, including the Defense Base Act (DBA).  Prior to founding the firm, she held a steering role in the largest practice group at a national insurance defense firm. 

Sasha has spent her 15+-year career building robust defenses for clients and finding creative solutions to complex issues. She has significant trial and appellate experience–having presented arguments on behalf of employers and carriers at numerous formal hearings and drafting briefs for cases pending before the Office of Administrative Law Judges, Benefits Review Board, and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She is a frequent contributor to various industry events and publications. She has also presented at numerous conferences and in-house seminars, and co-authored a chapter in The Longshore Textbook, Sixth Ed titled, “Trial: Witnesses & Discovery.” Sasha currently serves on the planning committee for the WCI, Breakout on LHWCA and DBA, and is a member of the U.S. Department of Labor’s (DOL) Joint Bar Association.

Sasha graduated magna cum laude from the University of St. Thomas with a Bachelor of Arts and was named “Outstanding Graduate in Political Science” by the department chair. She then completed her studies at South Texas College of Law Houston, graduating cum laude. During law school, Sasha served as a Langdell Scholar for Civil Procedure and co-editor in chief of the Construction Law Journal, a semi-annual publication by the State Bar of Texas that is completed with assistance from students at South Texas College of Law.  She has been recognized on the Super Lawyers “Texas Rising Stars List” every year since 2021.

Sasha is licensed to practice law in Texas and New York, as well as before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
