Alexandra (Alie) Awar has seasoned experience in the areas of general civil litigation, employment law, and personal injury/wrongful death defense, and focuses her current practice on defending claims under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act (LHWCA) and Defense Base Act (DBA). She also holds a certification in 40-hour mediator training, and is often called upon to speak at industry symposiums and in-house seminars.
Alie earned her B.A. in English and Government from The University of Texas at Austin, graduating with Liberal Arts Departmental Honors. She later obtained her J.D. from South Texas College of Law, where she was recognized on the Dean's List.
Admitted to the State Bar of Texas, Alie previously worked for Mitchell & Duff, LLC, Hobson & Bradley Attorneys at Law, and for the Fort Bend County District Attorney's Office.
