Andrei Defino is an associate attorney at Markovich Grover.

Prior to working with the founders at the legacy firm and then at Markovich Grover, Andrei worked as a constituent field representative and grant coordinator for the Office of Congressman Vicente Gonzalez. Andrei’s practice now focuses on claims arising under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act and the Defense Base Act.

Andrei received his Bachelor of Arts in English from Andrews University. There, Andrei was a J.N. Andrew Honors Thesis Candidate, president of the Nu Sigma chapter of the Sigma Tau Delta National English Honors Society, and section editor and editor-in-chief of The Student Movement. Andrei attended law school at South Texas College of Law Houston, where he was the article editor for CURRENTS: Journal of International Economic Law; president of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association; and a member of the Asian American Bar Association (Houston’s Mentorship & Law School Relations Committee). He also wrote, “Scanned and Delivered: Illinois Supreme Court Ruling Potentially Raises Exposure Under BIPA,” published for Corporate Counsel Review, Vol. 42, No. 1 (May 2023), and co-authored “Global Inflation” in CURRENTS, Vol. 25, No. 2 (May 2023).

Andrei is licensed to practice law in Texas.
